The Saturday Morning Workout

Our group meets at Lake Merritt every Saturday at 7:30am. The usual workout is a tempo run of some sort, but there are always folks just out to do a casual run as well. Our meet-up spot is the Lake Merritt Amphitheater located at the south side of the lake. All are welcome, so let us know if you're interested in coming out!

If you're driving to meet us, there is a nearby parking lot on Lakeshore that generally has a few spots. 

Other Weekly Workouts

Midweek Track: we also meet for mid-week speed and strength workouts (usually 6:00am on Wednesday at Piedmont High School).

TGIF Lake Loops: one of the Oakland Track Club staples, on Friday mornings at 6:15 we meet for some very easy loops around Lake Merritt. We meet at the Lake Merritt Amphitheater.

 

Sunday Long Run: we almost always coordinate on a week to week basis to meet up for a Sunday morning long run. These are often runs that take us into the beautiful local trails.

The best way to stay abreast of our training schedule is to join up with the club on Strava, where we post all events and event information.
